On the ferry to Liberty Island, where the wind was so harsh that it whipped your face and you could barely open your eyes, we went past this practically perfect view. Manhattan and the skyline in its glory. The sun shining beautifully, with a brilliant blue sky as a backdrop. What more could you want. (Apart from a hot drink when it was freezing cold)

So the long coach journey to the Hotel began. We arrived and it was day and as we travelled further and further, away from JFK Airport to our hotel in New Jersey, the sun began to set. However what we didn’t know is that we would see this incredible view.
